We are in the last weeks of our summer here at St. John’s, and our children are already back in school! Sometimes the days, the seasons, the changing times in people’s lives, seem to move too fast for us, as we seek to find spiritual rest and refreshment in the world. So don’t miss Sunday’s refreshing worship experience, featuring the sermon entitled “Are You Thirsty?” Like a cool glass of lemonade on a hot, summer day in August, Sunday’s worship service is designed to quench your spiritual thirst and replenish your Spirit.
We hope each of our church members and friends will continue to invite new visitors to St. John’s, as we to live into our vibrant future! We have new church growth initiatives underway, and a vibrant energy in our congregation that is refreshing to experience, like the ocean’s waves in summer. If you are in need of spiritual refreshment, join us this Sunday, as we prepare to celebrate the end of our summer season, and live into a new and vibrant fall.
We celebrate our thousands-year young, Christian spiritual refreshment – Communion -- every Wednesday at 12 noon, and the first Sunday of the month during 10:30am worship (September 4th). Please take a moment to plan your time to join us in common refreshment at St. John’s, as we seek to experience God’s transforming work in our lives, in our church, and in our world.
In faith, hope, and love,
