One More Chance, a service of Maryhaven, can help individuals learn how to protect and help their family and significant others through teaching practical measures, such as protecting their finances, to dealing with emotional and mental health challenges they face when dealing with a person who has problem gambling. In addition, this is great training for lay persons or others who may need or want to help families struggling with addiction. FREE SEMINARS FOR FAMILIES IMPACTED BY GAMBLING
If you or someone you know is struggling with a loved one’s gambling, One More Chance, a service of Maryhaven, can help you learn how to protect and help your family. One More Chance is offering free educational sessions at sites across the community.
St. John’s Columbus is pleased to be hosting one of these free seminars from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on January 31, 2017.
Information will be presented in a lively, engaging way, covering the practical measures (such as protecting your finances and understanding the disease of addiction) and the emotional/mental health challenges faced by families when dealing with problem gambling. In addition to individuals dealing with these issues, the seminar is great training for lay leaders or others who may need and want to help families struggling with addiction.
