Dear Members and Friends of St. John’s,
Join us THIS SUNDAY, March 4th for our “Spring Cleaning Party” following the second 11am worship service! Our youth and pastors will lead the way at 12:30pm with pizza, music, cleaning and dusting for an hour to prepare our church for our New Member Sunday on March 11th and our upcoming Holy Week and Easter services. We worship at 9am (traditional service) and 11am (contemporary service).
This Sunday is also a Communion Sunday as we observe the third week in Lent. Lent remains a time of spiritual reflection and a return to our spiritual roots each year. Church members often choose to explore new ministries during this time, as they discern where God is calling them to serve.
This past week, one of our new members, Armin traveled to St. John’s with another new member, Walter to serve at The Largest Table. They were joined this week by youth volunteers from Davis Middle School in Dublin. Thank you to our many volunteers and church members who made Wednesday a wonderful day of ministry and fun!
During this remarkable day of ministry, Pastor Dan filmed an invitation from Armin to the wider community to attend St. John’s – thank you Armin! See the video on Facebook
On Wednesday we also celebrated the marriage of two new church members, Josh and Nicole. Josh will begin his seminary studies at the Chicago Theological Seminary in the fall, and Nicole took her nursing board exams on Thursday. The couple reside in Columbus and look forward to serving at St. John’s when they return from their honeymoon.
The remaining weeks of Lent remain full at St. John’s, from the Irish music concert on March 9th, to multiple worship and ministry opportunities throughout the month of March. Please prayerfully consider where you might volunteer to serve during this Lenten season, and contact Pastor Marla Flewellen to learn more about the opportunities that are available at St. John’s. We look forward to seeing you!

Ways to Give Financially to St. John's
Wondering how to make a tangible difference? There are multiple ways to give to St. John’s as we continue the remarkable transformation our congregation bravely undertook last year. A time honored giving tradition is the “check/cash and envelope” method for paying your donation to the church either by mail or in the worship offering plate, and donation envelopes are available in the church office. We also have new, convenient ways to give to St. John’s. These include:
1) Automatic, recurring donations through direct deposit (contact the church office or your bank for details);
2) Recurring or one time donations through our church website:
3) Our new online giving “kiosk” at the back of the Welcome Center.
Thank you for giving to St. John’s to support our continued transformation, growth, and many ministries to our city!
In abundant hope for our shared future,
